Residents with an expiring visa, and their sponsors.
Eligibility
- Employer-sponsored workers or family members of a resident
- Renew before expiry; there is a grace period after expiry, then daily fines
Required documents
- Passport (6+ months validity)
- Emirates ID
- Medical fitness result
- Valid health insurance
- Photo; for family visas also Ejari and salary certificate
Step by step
- Do the medical fitness test
- Renew/confirm health insurance
- Sponsor applies on GDRFA (Dubai) or ICP (other emirates), or at Amer/typing centre
- Emirates ID renews with the visa; collect the new card
